Six characters who talk back.

Choose a character from The Common Tide, give them a name, and hold to speak. Every reply is made on your device and spoken aloud, or the app tells you plainly why it cannot.

One stage · six viewpoints
01 · Choose

One point of view, not a blank chatbot.

Pick one of six authored fictional adults from The Common Tide, or let a short matching quiz suggest who fits you, then name the one you choose. The other five keep their canonical names until you rename them.

02 · Speak

Hold to talk. Release to send.

There is no keyboard. Your audio stays in memory while Apple's on-device recognizer, or an optional downloadable speech model, turns it into text. Releasing the control is the only way to send.

03 · Control

Memory remains yours.

Read, add, edit, pin, forget, or reset the memory ledger. Suggestions appear only after a finished conversation and are never saved without your say. No account, analytics, advertising, tracking, or cloud transcript.

Voices · Compatibility

The shell is broad. Real generation is specific.

The app opens on iOS and iPadOS 18 or later. There the cast, the matching quiz, the Today's Tide widget and the memory ledger all work, and you can manage or restore a subscription.

Spoken replies need iOS or iPadOS 26 or later on an Apple Intelligence-capable device with Apple Intelligence turned on and its models downloaded, a supported language and region, and microphone access. The optional speech model is about 1 GB and needs at least 8 GB of device memory.

Replies speak in the character's own built-in voice or an Apple voice installed on your device. Silo Fable does not record or create voices. To hear a voice you made, create it in Silo Clone (coming soon, macOS 26) on your Mac, export the .silovoice file, and import it in Settings. Playing it needs an optional voice model download of about 408 MB and at least 6 GB of device memory.

If anything is missing, Silo Fable names it and the next step. It never substitutes a server, a scripted reply, or a demo.

Silo Fable Plus

Free download. Three replies before you decide.

On a supported device your first three spoken replies are free, and the stage shows how many are left. After that, the monthly auto-renewing Silo Fable Plus plan continues spoken conversations with all six characters, including the Daily Tide prompt. Reflections you keep go to a tide journal you can export as Markdown or JSON.

Silo Fable offers Plus only when this device can actually hold a conversation. The exact localized price and renewal period appear in Apple's purchase sheet before confirmation. Restore Purchases remains available.

The characters are fictional software, not people, therapists, crisis services, or substitutes for real relationships. Memory controls and easy goodbyes are never used as purchase pressure.
