voice · privacy · plusThe app runs on iOS and iPadOS 18 or later, where the cast, the matching quiz, the Today's Tide widget and the memory ledger work. Spoken replies need iOS or iPadOS 26 or later on an Apple Intelligence-capable device with Apple Intelligence turned on and its models downloaded, a supported language and region, microphone permission, and a ready speech engine: Apple's on-device recognizer or the optional downloadable speech model (about 1 GB, at least 8 GB of device memory). The app names any missing requirement and the next step, and never uses a cloud or canned fallback.
Voice is the product interface. Hold the stage control while speaking and release to send the final on-device transcript. Slide up to cancel. VoiceOver and Switch Control users can activate once to start and once to finish, with a separate cancel action.
No. Hold-to-talk audio stays in memory and is never written to a file or uploaded. Apple's on-device recognizer, or the optional downloadable speech model if you chose it, turns it into text on the device, and Silo Fable refuses network recognition. Silo Fable no longer records a voice with the microphone: earlier versions could record a personal-voice reference clip of up to 15 seconds in Settings, which stays in private, backup-excluded app storage until you delete it and is never uploaded. Only the resulting text transcript can enter the private archive after release.
On a supported device your first three spoken replies are free, and the stage shows how many are left. After that, the monthly auto-renewing Plus plan continues spoken conversations with all six characters, including the Daily Tide, and the reflections you keep go to a tide journal you can export as Markdown or JSON. The exact localized price and renewal period appear in Apple's purchase sheet before confirmation. Character choice, naming, memory controls, compatibility explanations, support resources, and easy goodbyes are not used as emotional purchase pressure.
Yes, if you made it in Silo Clone (coming soon, macOS 26). Silo Fable does not record or create voices. Make the voice in Silo Clone on your Mac, export it as a .silovoice file, and import it in Silo Fable Settings under Companion voice. Playing it needs an optional voice model download of about 408 MB and at least 6 GB of device memory, and you can remove the voice or the model in Settings. A voice recorded by an earlier version of Silo Fable is no longer played; Settings offers to remove it.
Use Restore Purchases in Silo Fable Settings to refresh a verified Apple entitlement. Use Manage Subscription there, or your Apple Account subscription settings, to change or cancel the plan. Silo Systems has no billing account or payment-card data.
Open Memory from the companion stage. You can inspect why each manual item exists, edit its text, pin it, forget it, or reset the full local relationship. Automatic extraction never silently replaces this ledger.
No. It is fictional entertainment software for adults and does not diagnose, score mental state, or provide emergency care. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services and a trusted person who can be physically present. The app's Settings links to a locale-aware crisis-support directory.
