privacy · recording · importThe audio never does, and neither does transcription. Summaries, decisions, action items, and chat answers are made on the device too, unless on a Mac you turn on Bring Your Own Key. Then the transcripts you summarize, and the lines matched by your chat questions, go to the provider you chose, under your own key. The iPhone and iPad app makes no network connections. There is no account, telemetry, or analytics, and Silo Systems runs no server for Silo Meet.
Silo Meet captures the audio itself. On a Mac, that is your microphone plus, with Screen Recording permission, the call audio playing through the Mac. On iPhone and iPad, it is the room, through the device microphone. No bot joins, no calendar invite is sent, and the audio is never uploaded. Recording starts when you start it and ends when you stop or discard it.
Only to hear the other side of the call. ScreenCaptureKit is Apple's supported way to record the audio playing through your Mac, and macOS puts it behind the Screen & System Audio Recording permission. Silo Meet keeps audio samples only; no screen images are stored or sent. macOS applies a new grant after you quit and reopen the app. If you skip it, Silo Meet records your microphone only and tells you so.
Yes. Import Recording (Command-Shift-I on a Mac, or Files on iPhone and iPad) takes an audio file or an mp4 or mov video, up to two hours long. Silo Meet transcribes the sound and mixes every sound track together, so a screen recording that keeps each side of the call on its own track keeps both voices. The picture itself is never decoded.
Pricing: $14.99 one-time · no subscription. The universal purchase covers iPhone + iPad + Mac. Every feature is included; there is no account or in-app purchase.
For written summaries, yes: Apple Intelligence on macOS 26, iOS 26, or iPadOS 26. On any other supported device, a rule-based engine extracts decisions and action items straight from the transcript. Silo Meet shows which engine will run before you record or import, and names it on every summary and every exported PDF.
The app itself is in English. Transcription needs on-device Dictation, and Silo Meet checks for it before it records. Decisions, action items, and owners are checked against English phrasing in the transcript, so today they come from meetings held in English.
Each decision, action item, and recipe value points at a transcript line, and a deterministic check confirms that the line backs it up. Items that fail are dropped, and a written summary that still fails is replaced by one the rule-based engine builds from the transcript. Tap any cited item to jump to its line. The one-sentence headline is not checked line by line, so read it as a caption.
Yes. Press Command-B on a Mac or tap Mark moment on iPhone and iPad to bookmark a moment, label it if you like, and review it against the exact or nearest line after transcription. The cited-minutes PDF (Command-E on a Mac) holds recipe fields, decisions, action items, owners, evidence quotes, bookmarks, the engine used, and the full line-labelled transcript.
Recording, transcription, search, bookmarks, and export never need a connection, and summaries and chat run on the device unless you turn on Bring Your Own Key on a Mac. The only traffic Silo Meet itself starts is on a Mac, when you ask for it: a one-time download of an optional speech model after you consent, and requests to your own provider while Bring Your Own Key is on. Nothing is synced or collected.
