privacy · pricing · exportNo. Recording, transcription, speaker labels, and note drafting all run on your Mac. There is no cloud service, account, telemetry, or analytics SDK. Note bodies, dot phrases, and custom structures are AES-GCM encrypted under a key in your Keychain, and session audio and transcripts stay inside the app's sandbox container.
Yes. Choose Try the sample during onboarding, or Settings > Evaluation > Load sample session. The sample is clearly fictional and contains no patient data, so you can walk the transcript, evidence, verify, and export steps before you record anyone.
Not to record, transcribe with Apple's built-in speech recognition, edit, or export. Three optional downloads each ask first: a local speech model of about 1 GB, a local note model of about 3.6 GB, and a small model for higher-accuracy speaker labeling, which can be fetched again without a second prompt if it goes missing. No session content is sent with any download. The speech and note models are checksum-verified before use, and all three can be removed in Settings. Without the note model, Silo Scribe places the verbatim transcript in the note for you to summarize and labels it an extractive draft.
Yes, from Settings or the Transcription menu. Silo Scribe returns to its offline speaker estimate and deletes the downloaded speaker model from your Mac. Labels already in your transcripts stay as they are, and you can rename or reassign any speaker yourself.
From the Notes screen, export to Word (.docx), PDF, Markdown, or plain text in a folder you choose, ready to paste into the EHR you already use. Each file states whether you marked the note verified and how it was authored.
Silo Scribe is a single $29.99 purchase with unlimited local note drafting. Every note format, dot phrase, and structure tool is included; there is no subscription or in-app purchase.
No. Silo Scribe is a documentation tool, not a medical or diagnostic device. It does not diagnose, does not recommend treatment, does not make automated risk assertions, and does not assign CPT or ICD codes. It drafts a note from the session you recorded, and you, the clinician, review, edit, and verify every note.
SOAP, DAP, BIRP, and intake, along with private dot phrases and custom note structures. Dot phrases and custom structures use only wording you author, stay encrypted on your Mac, and are never passed to the note model.
