Install the free
Matadoor Host.
Matadoor Host is the menu-bar companion that runs on your Mac. It shows the pairing QR, asks you to approve each iPhone or iPad, lets you choose the relay, and runs the terminal and coding agent sessions that Matadoor drives. It is free, notarized by Apple, and sends nothing to us.
Two ways to install.
direct dmg · homebrewDownload the DMG.
Open the disk image, drag Matadoor Host to Applications, and launch it. It lives in your menu bar. Because the build is notarized, Gatekeeper opens it without warnings.
MatadorHost-1.5.0.dmgOne command.
Prefer the terminal? Install from the Silo Systems tap. Homebrew fetches the same notarized DMG and keeps it current with brew upgrade.
Matadoor Host is the free companion to Matadoor for iPhone and iPad, a one-time purchase on the App Store. Install the host, open its menu-bar popover, scan the pairing QR with Matadoor, and approve the device on your Mac. The host is not sandboxed, so it can start your shell and the coding agents installed on your machine. It sends nothing to us: session bytes go only to the phone you approved, end-to-end encrypted, directly or through a relay that cannot read them. By default that relay is one of n0's public relays, and the host also publishes its network address to n0's discovery service. Pick Self-host or Direct only under Relay in the menu-bar popover to avoid both.
