Help & support.
A native macOS workspace for completing security questionnaires with traceable evidence. Here's how to get help.
Email support directly.
direct response · no ticket queueWrite in about evidence matching, question and answer column detection, iCloud sync, or a feature you need. If an import fails, the header row and the exact error message are usually enough. Please leave confidential security policies out of your message; we can help without them.

evidence · citations · cloudkit · pricingCitebound is a Mac app that answers vendor security questionnaires from your own policy documents. Each draft quotes the passage it came from and names the file and the page or paragraph, and a question your evidence cannot support is flagged Needs Evidence instead of answered.
Citebound writes no answer of its own and flags the row Needs Evidence. If the questionnaire arrived with an answer in that row, that answer is kept as it was. Approval needs at least one citation whose quoted passage still matches your evidence, and it fails when the answer states a number the passage does not contain or when its negation disagrees with the passage.
Silo Systems runs no server for Citebound and receives none of your content. Matching, drafting, approval, and export run on your Mac. With Citebound Pro, workspaces sync through your private iCloud database (iCloud.com.silosystems.citebound). The one optional exception is cloud rewording: if you pick a cloud provider and enter your own API key, the question and its cited passages go directly from your Mac to that provider each time you reword an answer. It is off by default and asks for your consent first.
Questionnaires: CSV or TSV (also .tab and tab-delimited .txt), comma, semicolon, or tab delimited, with the column headers in the first row. Citebound finds the question and answer columns by header names such as Question, Requirement, Response, or Answer, and adds an Answer column if there is none. XLSX workbooks are not supported, so save the sheet as CSV or TSV first. Evidence: PDFs with selectable text, plain text, and Markdown.
Export writes a new file in the delimiter the questionnaire arrived with (tab-delimited files come back as .tsv) and never changes the original. It carries your approved answers with their citations, keeps answers you imported or typed yourself, leaves unapproved Citebound drafts out, and adds a Citebound Status column and a Citebound Evidence column.
macOS 15 Sequoia or later on an Apple Silicon or Intel Mac. Rewording with the Mac's built-in model needs macOS 26 on a Mac that supports it; matching, drafting, and export do not.
The download is free, and one questionnaire of your own is free from import to cited export. The built-in demo does not count toward it. Citebound Pro adds several active questionnaires at once, reuse of approved answers whose citations still resolve, and private iCloud sync, for $29.99 a month or $299.99 a year.
